Inhabits undisturbed lowland forests. Individuals can be found at night perched on leaves or branches 1- 3 m above ground by slow moving streams.

Smooth above; coarsely pebbled below. Narrow fringe along the edges of the outer finger and toee. Some frogs have several bumps along the edge of the forearm
DORSAL COLOR
Variable from pale brown to dark brown with a dark bar between the eyes and a few crossbars on the back. Flanks with light blue spots; a white mark below the eyes.
