A montane, forest-dwelling species that inhabits hill dipterocarp or montane forest. Nocturnal, often found perched on the leaves and stems of small plants and in tree holes where thair camouflage makes them difficult to locate. Some specimens have been found within cave-like environments near the summit of Gunung Kajang on Pulau Tioman. During the day, not uncommon to find juveniles on the forest floor.
