TADPOLE
Head-body ovoid, somewhat flattened, tail moderately convex, tapering gradually to a rounded tip, fins not deeper than caudal musculature. Head-body and tail purpilish-brown, venter translucent. Body oval, almost as wide as long, slightly flattened. Tail is less than twice the length of body, tapers to a rounded tip. Body and tail muscles are purplish brown and the tail fins slightly lighter

LIFE HISTORY
Inhabits both primary and secondary forest as well as slightly disturbed habitats where they can be found on leaves and branches of small trees low to the ground. Less commonly seen sitting on rocks along streams. Eggs are laid in tree holes and log cavities.

Skin above with many small, distinct granular tubercles; limbs with similar tubercles; Throat smooth; belly coarsely granular; no supratympanic fold; two to six white tubercles above vent and a similar group below it
DORSAL COLOR
brown to orangish or yellow with several, irregularly shaped, white spots , iris bicolored, white above and bronze below; pair of large white sports on fingerand toepads ; white spots on limbs, often forming transverse rows;
VENTRAL
chest and belly light with a dark reticulum. Ventral surfacces white, with or without blotches of greenish black.
DIGITS
Finger tips expanded into round or oval disks, that of 3rd finger not as wide as tympanum diameter; fingers free of web
